Benefit Programs Offered to Eligible Employees and Dependents Enrolled in the RCAB Health Plans

Omada

Omada is a virtual care program that provides the tools and support participants with chronic conditions need to reach their health goals. Employees, spouses, and dependents age 18+ enrolled in the RCAB Health Plans must take a short risk screening assessment to determine eligibility to participate in the program. Omada provides interactive lessons, health coaching, peer group support, an integrated mobile app, and a cellular-enabled scale to help participants lose weight, reduce the risk for developing type 2 diabetes, and improve overall health.

Livongo

Livongo combines smart blood glucose meter technology with coaching from a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) to help eligible participants manage diabetes more easily. The Livongo program is offered at no additional cost to employees, spouses, or their dependents (18+) if they are enrolled in one of the RCAB Health Plans. The program also offers free supplies, like lancets and strips, to those enrolled in the program, 24/7 CDE assistance, fast biometric feedback, and the ability to connect directly with a doctor.

Employees and spouses enrolled in the RCAB Health Plans who are eligible for the program will receive an invitation from Livongo. Find out how to sign up!

Learn to Live

Learn to Live is an online, self-directed program designed to help participants address stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, insomnia, panic disorder, resilience, and/or social anxiety. All Archdiocese of Boston employees (and their spouses and dependents age 13 and older) are invited to complete a short mental health questionnaire and, based on these results, Learn to Live will recommend a program that best suits their needs. The program uses cognitive behavioral techniques and resources to help improve mental health. Participants can access Learn to Live on their phones, tablets, and computers 24/7, and enjoy access to coaches and peer groups. All information collected by Learn to Live is treated confidentially.

SmartShopper

SmartShopper is a voluntary financial incentive program offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts that rewards enrolled employees and their enrolled dependents for comparison “shopping” for in-network medical care at high quality, lower-cost providers. Through this program, employees and dependents enrolled in the RCAB Health Plans are encouraged to compare providers and prices for certain medical procedures and treatment and to consider options suggested by SmartShopper. If a SmartShopper option is selected, RCAB Health Plans then pass along some of the savings in the form of cash rewards! Cash rewards range from $50 to $250.

Note: Employees and spouses enrolled in the Medicare Primary Payer program are not eligible to participate in the SmartShopper program.
